Description

The Airtel Africa Foundation technology scholarship supports high-achieving Zambian students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Fifty awards are available for new students in the 2026/2027 academic year, with twenty-five places at the University of Zambia and twenty-five at Copperbelt University. The programme is intended for eligible technology-related courses at these partner institutions. Applicants must have completed Grade 12 in 2022 or later, achieved the specified score of five to seven points and not receive another form of financial support. The award combines study costs with tools needed for learning. Candidates submit their application through the designated Afara Initiative platform, selecting the Zambia scholarship rather than calls for other countries. Eligibility : New Zambian students in eligible technology programmes at UNZA or Copperbelt University, meeting the Grade 12 and financial-need criteria. Funding : Full tuition and accommodation, a monthly allowance, a laptop and mobile data for selected scholars. Application deadline : 2026-10-09.
