The Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI) is recruiting its 2027–2028 cohort of Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health, an international program that trains leaders to reduce the impact of dementia and inequities in brain health worldwide. Fellows will spend one year, beginning in late August 2027, at one of the program’s two locations: Trinity College Dublin (in-person, in Ireland) or the University of California, San Francisco (hybrid format). The program is open to experienced professionals from all disciplines: clinicians, researchers, artists, journalists, economists, lawyers, public health professionals, and public policy makers. The fellowship year combines interdisciplinary training, individualized mentoring, leadership development, and work on a personal project; former fellows can then apply for Pilot Awards of up to $25,000 to implement brain health projects in their communities and become part of a lasting global network. Each candidate may apply to only one location per cycle; the choice is based on the preferred format and career goals. Application deadlines vary: September 18, 2026, for Trinity College Dublin, and November 2, 2026, for UCSF. Virtual information sessions are held in advance (July 30 for Dublin, August 11 for San Francisco). For healthcare professionals, researchers, or creatives working in the fields of aging, neurology, or public health, this is one of the few global programs that funds a full year dedicated to equity in brain health.
