The New York Climate Exchange’s Climate Tech Fellowship supports very early-stage innovators developing technological solutions for energy and urban resilience. This six-month hybrid program is designed for project leaders at the prototype, pilot, or pre-commercialization stage : even before a company has been founded: no university affiliation or registered company is required, and it is open to applicants from around the world. Each selected team receives a non-dilutive grant of $10,000 : with no equity stake : as well as structured support: personalized mentoring, go-to-market training, and access to the Climate Exchange’s network of experts. The program begins in September 2026 with an in-person immersion during Climate Week NYC : with travel and accommodations covered for one team member : and continues virtually from October 2026 to January 2027, culminating in a final showcase in February 2027. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until August 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.: applying early increases your chances. Applications are submitted via the official online form and should describe the solution, its stage of development, and the intended impact. For a researcher, engineer, or climate entrepreneur in the seed stage, this is a rare opportunity to secure non-dilutive funding, gain international visibility, and establish a foothold in New York during the busiest week of the year for the climate ecosystem.
