IFRA-Nigeria supports around twelve individual or collective research projects between January and October 2027. Research must concern Nigeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger, Chad or Togo. Funding is capped per project rather than per participant. For a collective proposal, explain how the work is shared while retaining one coherent research budget. The countries listed refer to the institute’s research remit. A project should establish its connection to that remit instead of relying only on the applicant’s academic status. Eligibility: Master 2 students, doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers and researchers in humanities and social sciences. Funding: Up to EUR 1,000 per project. Application: Present the research location, methods and budget within the EUR 1,000 ceiling and January-October 2027 period. Submit through the IFRA form before 23:59 WAT. Schedule: 30 October 2026, 23:59 WAT
