The Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship trains innovators to start with a real health need and develop a viable solution. During ten intensive full-time months, fellows observe clinical practice, prioritise unmet needs, invent technologies and plan implementation. Solutions may involve medical devices, diagnostics, digital health, drug delivery or biotechnology. The experience is built around multidisciplinary teamwork, hands-on learning and extensive mentoring within Stanford’s health-technology ecosystem. Applicants should have an advanced degree or substantial professional experience in engineering, life sciences, computer science, medicine, nursing, product design, law or business. Selection considers experience, motivation, drive and the potential to become a health-technology innovation leader. Fellows receive a monthly stipend and health benefits. A complete SlideRoom application is due by 27 August 2026 and includes a CV, academic transcripts, essays, a short video and three recommendations. Applicants should review the fit guidance before investing in the demanding application.
