Description

UNU offers a full-time, 24-week internship at the Office of the Rector in Tokyo, from 1 March to 27 August 2027. Work includes research, writing, analysis, coordination and communication, primarily on site. The allowance is only a contribution to living costs. Plan for the predominantly on-site nature of the role when assessing your availability for the Tokyo placement. Consider the relationship between the allowance and living expenses. The stated contribution is partial, so it should not be treated as a promise to cover every cost. Eligibility: Postgraduate students and young professionals meeting the vacancy requirements, in Japan or abroad. Funding: A monthly allowance contributes partially to living expenses, subject to conditions. Application: Check the vacancy requirements and availability in Tokyo throughout the 24 weeks. Submit through the UNU careers portal before 23:59 JST. Schedule: 1 November 2026, 23:59 JST
