The Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union launches its excellence scholarship programme to support ten outstanding students per member state. The scheme funds on-campus studies from Bachelor to PhD, as well as specialisations in human health, in institutions located within the Union. It aims to strengthen human capital and regional integration. Applicants must show excellent academic results, with an average of at least 14 out of 20, and meet age limits specific to each study level. Financial support includes tuition, a monthly allowance, health insurance, settling-in costs and flights, with a research budget for PhD students. Applications are made on the official platform, with diplomas, transcripts and enrolment documents, before 30 August 2026. Preparing clear transcripts early helps demonstrate excellence.
