The African Development Bank and EyeCity Africa are inviting applications for the second phase of their programme supporting innovation in African higher education. Universities and research centres can apply to establish or strengthen an incubator, innovation hub or technology transfer office. An institution does not need to have an existing incubator to be considered, making this relevant to teams building a support structure as well as established operations. Selected institutions receive practical online training, operational and governance tools, and opportunities to learn alongside peers. The programme also connects participants with the Bank’s ENNOVA platform. A smaller group can receive tailored support to develop an innovation and entrepreneurship strategy. Participation is free for the institution, but the call does not promise a cash grant or individual student scholarship. Prepare the application with the team responsible for institutional innovation and use the official linked form. Applications are accepted in English or French until 9 November 2026.
