Africa Jobs Fund and SDRB seek productive, export-oriented ventures that create quality jobs and raise incomes in Somalia. Existing companies, early-stage ventures and well-researched ideas can apply; prior commercial traction is not required. Founders must have a connection to Somalia and be prepared to build the venture full-time. The USD 20,000 winner’s prize is separate from potential pilot and scaling investments. Strong projects beyond the winner may be considered for investment after further assessment and diligence. Eligibility: Connection to Somalia, including diaspora members abroad. Readiness to build and operate the venture full-time. Funding: USD 20,000 for the competition winner. Potential later pilot investment up to USD 100,000 and scale-up investment up to USD 1 million are separate and conditional. Submission: Describe the market, productive activity, jobs and key risks.
