The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Cambridge combines a master’s education with leadership development serving Africa. Its 2027–2028 themes are climate resilience and sustainability, welcoming disciplines that can contribute to those goals. Scholarship consideration is built into the course application rather than a separate universal deadline. Applicants must therefore select their programme, identify its funding deadline and develop the admission and scholarship components together, allowing enough time for references and any course-specific documents. Profile: Citizenship of an African country and residence in Africa, with the programme’s exceptions for temporary study/work absence and displacement/refugee situations. Meet the academic and language requirements of the chosen course. One-year full-time postgraduate course; MBA, MCL, MFIN and MACC are excluded. Support: Full tuition and a monthly maintenance allowance. Individual amounts and detailed arrangements are specified in the scholarship offer. Application: Select an eligible course in the Course Directory and record its funding deadline. Complete the course application and integrated Mastercard Foundation component, including the scholarship statement. No universal deadline: use the selected master’s funding deadline for 2027–2028 entry.
