DAAD RISE Germany: Summer Research Internships 2027

Description

DAAD's RISE Germany offers scientific research internships of approximately three months in Germany during summer 2027. It targets undergraduate STEM students enrolled at institutions in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom or Ireland. Eligibility therefore depends on the institution of enrolment and should not be presented as unrestricted worldwide access. Candidates must have completed at least two undergraduate years when the placement starts and maintain undergraduate status afterwards. Additional conditions apply to international students and German citizens. Support includes a scholarship, insurance and travel assistance according to the enrolment country, with the Canadian route involving Mitacs. Applications close on 30 November 2026 at 11:59 pm CET, while references have a separate 15 December deadline. Placements must begin between 15 May and 15 July 2027. Prepare evidence that you will continue undergraduate study after the internship, because this is an important part of the application and administrative process.
