Description

Deutsche Welle offers bilingual media training in Bonn and Berlin from January 2028 to June 2029, including newsroom experience. The application includes additional tasks and a video. The deadline is noon GMT+1 on 17 November 2026, well before the training begins. Allow preparation time for the video and additional tasks alongside the main application. The early closing time is particularly relevant: noon is not an end-of-day deadline. The 2026 application cycle leads to training in 2028–2029, which should be reflected in your availability planning. Eligibility: Graduates or vocationally trained applicants with initial journalism experience; English and German requirements depend on language profile. Funding: An eighteen-month salaried traineeship. Application: Check the language profile and prepare the additional tasks and video. Complete the application before noon GMT+1 and plan for training from January 2028 to June 2029. Schedule: 17 November 2026, noon GMT+1
