Erase Indifference Challenge 2026

Description

The Auschwitz Pledge Foundation is seeking initiatives that help passive bystanders take action against hatred and discrimination. Its Erase Indifference Challenge offers EUR 90,000 in total, divided into one EUR 20,000 award and seven EUR 10,000 awards. The competition focuses on practical projects with existing users, participants or demonstrable results. Applications must come from a registered entity such as a nonprofit, company, educational institution or public organisation. An individual idea that has not been implemented is insufficient. Projects completed before December 2023, partisan political campaigns and purely academic work without practical application are among the exclusions. Read the challenge manual to check the remaining restrictions and prepare evidence of impact alongside a clear account of how the project changes bystander behaviour. Applications close on December 4, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CET. Finalist discussions are planned for February 2027, with the results scheduled for February 28. Awards are competitive and subject to the foundation’s agreements.
