The François Sommer Foundation supports action-research projects built on lasting cooperation between local stakeholders, environmental organisations and scientific institutions. Its 2026 call focuses on wildlife dynamics, management, conservation and rehabilitation, together with the protection of habitats. Projects should generate usable knowledge and concrete biodiversity outcomes in France, Europe or Africa, depending on the category and conditions set out in the rules. Eligible legal entities include associations, foundations, federations, conservancies, public authorities, universities, research centres and companies; individuals cannot apply. The announced overall envelope is EUR 500,000. Standard projects may request between EUR 20,000 and EUR 80,000, while micro-projects range from EUR 3,000 to EUR 6,000. Applicants must prepare the project document, budget, administrative evidence and required acknowledgement form, then submit everything through the official portal by 1 September 2026.
