The Halton Foundation funds projects that create new knowledge or practical solutions for healthier indoor environments. Topics may include indoor air quality, thermal comfort, the health effects of buildings or technologies that reduce risks in enclosed spaces. The programme values a sound methodology, a clear path to impact and results that can be shared with scientific or professional communities. Universities, research institutes, NGOs and other nonprofit organisations may apply without geographic restriction. A grant may reach USD 30,000 per year and support a one- or two-year project. Costs must be directly linked to the work, and administrative overhead cannot exceed 10 percent. The English-language proposal should define the problem, methods, timeline, expected outcomes, team and budget. Applications are submitted only through the official online portal and must be completed by 1 September 2026.
