Description

The Sir James McNeill Postgraduate Research Scholarship supports a doctoral candidate whose project delivers meaningful social and environmental benefits. Research must sit within an eligible Monash University faculty, including areas such as engineering, science, medicine, nursing and health sciences. Selection is highly competitive and considers academic excellence, prior research outputs and the strength and feasibility of the proposed project. Australian and New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and eligible international students may be considered. The award includes an enhanced living allowance together with applicable research and, depending on circumstances, relocation support. There is no separate scholarship form. Candidates submit a complete application for admission and graduate-research funding at Monash and are automatically considered for this award. For the relevant international round, all required material should be finalised by 31 October 2026, with supervisor and faculty arrangements started well in advance.
