Mozilla Foundation: Fellowships 2027-2028

Description

Mozilla Foundation is offering ten twelve-month fellowships for people building technology that serves communities. Areas include open infrastructure, affordable security for smaller organisations, artificial intelligence, new web business models and emerging technologies. One independent place is reserved for creative advocacy, while applicants may also propose a wildcard idea outside the listed focus areas. There are two tracks. Independent Fellows receive a USD 100,000 stipend and a USD 25,000 project budget. Embedded Fellows receive a USD 75,000 stipend plus the same project budget while working with a partner organisation. The letter of intent is the main selection stage and must be submitted by 17 December 2026 at 11:59 pm Pacific time. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a full application. The fellowship starts on 1 June 2027. Before choosing a track, read the full request for proposals and assess the fit between the project, the community it serves and any host organisation.
