Zonta: Amelia Earhart Fellowship 2027

Description

Zonta International's Amelia Earhart Fellowship supports women pursuing doctoral research in aerospace engineering or space sciences. Up to thirty recipients can receive USD 12,000 for research at institutions offering the relevant accredited postgraduate degrees. Women of any nationality may apply, making the programme geographically broad while remaining specialised in its academic scope. Applicants must be registered in a full-time doctoral programme. At application they must have completed at least one doctoral year or hold a master's degree in an aerospace-applied field. They must not graduate before April 2028. Postdoctoral programmes are excluded, and former Amelia Earhart Fellows cannot renew the same fellowship. Additional exclusions apply to certain Zonta membership and employment relationships and should be checked against the rules. A complete application is due by 15 November 2026. The Amelia Earhart committee assesses submissions and applicants are expected to receive their status by the end of April.
