The PEC-PG programme allows foreign students to pursue a Master or PhD at Brazilian universities with full financial support. Applicants must be nationals of partner countries, must not hold Brazilian nationality and must have a bachelor’s degree. Funding includes a monthly allowance, access to public healthcare and return assistance at the end of the programme. The selection process runs in several stages, starting with the accreditation of institutions, then direct applications to universities. Applicants must prepare a solid research project and maintain a CV on the Lattes platform. The monthly allowance is 2,100 reais for Master students and 3,100 reais for PhD students. The deadline for this stage is 13 August 2026, and a clear research project significantly strengthens the application.
