The Africa-Europe Youth Academy, led by The Youth Café, launches a call for proposals to create or strengthen safe, inclusive youth spaces in several African countries, including Cameroon, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. These spaces aim to strengthen the leadership, innovation and civic engagement of young people aged 18 to 30. Particular attention is paid to including women and vulnerable groups. Funding runs in two phases: an initial grant of 10,000 EUR for thirty projects, followed by a complementary grant of 40,000 EUR for the six most impactful initiatives. Applicant organisations must prove at least one year of legal existence and a majority-youth governance. Forms, budget and logical framework are downloaded from the official website and submitted before 7 August 2026.
