The Africa CDC Epidemiology Track trains public health professionals in applied epidemiology skills. The programme lasts two years and combines three months of theory in Addis Ababa with twenty-one months of field practice. Participants learn data analysis, health surveillance and outbreak investigation, working closely with national health systems. The programme is open to nationals of African Union member states, public health professionals under 35, holding a degree in health or related sciences and with at least three years of experience. It is fully funded: training fees, travel, stipend, insurance and equipment are covered. Applications are made only through the official African Union portal, using the mandatory CV template, before 26 August 2026. Applying early is advised given the competitive selection.
