Fondo Colansa 2026: Food Environment Research and Advocacy

Description

Colansa is funding national projects to improve food environments in Latin America and the Caribbean. Up to two research projects can receive USD 130,000 net each, while up to two advocacy projects can receive USD 100,000 each. Priority areas include front-of-pack labelling, fiscal measures, food advertising regulation and access to healthy food. Applicants must be organisations legally established for at least six months and operating in one of the fourteen eligible countries. Brazil, Mexico and Colombia are outside this call. Each project must be submitted and implemented by one organisation in one country; individuals and consortia cannot apply. Research and advocacy applicants must demonstrate the distinct experience required for their chosen track. One proposal per track is possible only where the organisation independently meets both sets of requirements. Funded projects run for eighteen months after contracting and fund availability, with a start anticipated from March 2027. Submit the official application by November 20, 2026.
